What courses do I need to pursue a French Minor? 
After completing French 201 or equivalent, French 311, 312 and an elective (3 units).
So, what are you waiting for?
Three more courses after FREN 201, and you have a French Minor!
 What courses do I need to pursue a Spanish Minor? 
After completing Spanish 202 or 250, Spanish 301A or B, 302, 303,
350A or B and an elective (3 units).

 Can I pursue a French Major at CSUSM? 
Yes , you should declare a Special Major. However, you may Study Abroad,
take French courses while in France/Francophone country
and get a Special Major in French if you have sufficient credits.
(40 units must be in Upper-Division and 120 units total for a B.A.)

There are 4 concentrations: You may choose to pursue a General Track, a Literature Track, a Culture and a Civilization Track and a Spanish for

but you may go with any program provided that it is approved by a French Advisor.

The CSU has its own International Programs
 (check the website on the left) but you may go with any program,
provided that it has been approved by a Spanish Advisor. A very popular 
program is the summer Study Abroad in Valladolid, Spain. A few weeks in 
Spain, and you can get credits towards your Spanish major/minor!

 What is the Certificate in Spanish Translation? 
It is a new Certificate specialized in Translation Studies. Students must 
complete 12 units of the following classes: Spanish 303 (Advanced 
Composition), SPAN 320 (Intro to Spanish Translation), SPAN 330 (Techniques
in Translation and Interpretation), SPAN 340 (Specialized Spanish Translation)
